someone remind me again why i'm taking economics??
like wth! i understand what he's saying in lectures (for the most part) and then when it comes to tutorials and online tests- it's like stuff he's never mentioned! wtf?! and i actually looked through the textbook for help and looked up stuff this time and i STILL got the same friggin mark as i did last week (which is a pass by like 1% btw) haha not that it really matters- the online tests only count for like 5% of my grade. but still.

it would be nice to know what's going on in the class i'm going to be majoring in.

and starting next year, i have no more credits to play around with and have to take 120 credits (at least!?) a year of ECONS-RELATED COURSES. someone kill me now. :|

SCHOOL'S IN.

although i'm rather scared about this subject combi, i think i've enjoyed most my classes today. except for global econs which was pretty much... dull.. haha aah but yes economics was alright- think i'm starting to enjoy the annoyingness of it haha and i'm taking business law! which looks like hell of a lot of work, but interesting nonetheless. one of the first things our lecturer (whose name is gillian btw! HOHO.) said to us was "in these next 11 weeks, we cover what law students cover in 2 years. ...so don't say i didn't warn you." ...eehh..

aaanyhow. we fiiiiiinally got internet in our flat im so friggin happy! :D haha i've been needing to go to thelibrary or to someone's flat to steal their wireless just to send out emails and settle money stuff with my parents. gahh.

in other news, i've made quite a few things haha fried rice, sambal spinach & rice, pan-seared salmon and mashed potatoes, and pasta and roasted potatoes with spinach! HEH. im sorry, but i feel quite accomplished. lols

in other news. we had  a random pantry party last night and people got a little high. (ahum.) haha we basically gambled for a few hours and loser(s) had to drink gulps of red/whites. And me being the horrible gambler that i am ended up drinking a wee bit more than intended. but i stopped before it got too bad so i sobered up by the end which was good on my part cos i had to wake up at 9 this morning to move my stuff to my friend's flat. lol but i got help from Ben and Chershiong (thank god)! loll both of whom were quite off last night too. but i love 'em for coming to help :S i was pathetic and could barely carry a few things by myself. loll someone really shld start attempting to work out again orsmth.. 

...or not. HAHA we'll see how motivated i feel. loll.

3 more nights in Edinburgh and then i'm off to London/Wales! wooots! :D

augh i'm still in the computerlab downstairs (pretending to be) working.
although i really did do math today though, it wasn't a complete waste hehe. (x i realize i haven't posted in about a month but there's been so much going on it's crazy. First of all, econs exam on the 1st wasn't too great. totally messed up the essay but we'll see how it goes i guess. No english exam (THANK THE LORD- I would've failed fo'sho!) but the assignment was due like the week before the econs exam. aahh been doing math ever since. kinda screwed. i've done this stuff before, but i haaaaaaaated it in high school and no surprise it's still the bane of my existence. but after the 21st at 4pm- NO MOOOREE! :D

i head off to London/Cardiff on the 28th and will be headed back to singapore in mid June (: yeeeeeeyy. yummy food! lol need to make plans, people!! I was intending to get my driving license while i'm home but i think i might just do that next year when i get back to edin. just so i don't waste $2000Sing if i can't finish it within the 3 months or smth. (esp since my parents would make me pay for it and i don't really have $2000... it poses a slight problem. lol) Anyway. Am excited for Singapore. not looking forward to the plane ride. but.  I WILL MAKE IT. i have to go out and buy liek a supply of hobnobbs & jaffa cakes and such before i leave.. hehee.

ahh if anyone was wondering i've finally found a flat! which is nicely situated near many friends. so yeyy! :D lol

so guys. i have 2 days left of being 18. i am so not looking forward to this time next year- i'm going to be FLIPPING out over turning 20, my god. anyway. HAPPY THOUGHTS. i helped out at this charity marathon thing yesterday (no, i didn't run- hoho! what a sight that would've been haha) but i am exhausted. i was 'marshalling' the runners; aka, supposedly guiding them down the right route and um "INSPIRING" them. hahah i didn't start out as a very good inspiration to them, im sure. i was kinda stoning there with nicola cos we were put in this very out-of-the-way corner. so it wasn't allt hat exciting. but i think i was jsut low on food cos after we went to get lunch and i had more energy in me, i got really perky and started making up all these cheers. hahah i think people thought i was insane but HEY I WAS HELPING. I couldn't decide how to make the letter "e" with my body though, it was quite comical. hahah i think i may have slowed some of them down when they ran past cos they were trying to figure out what the hell i was doing/spelling HAHA but yeah i really am exhausted and stuff so i'll just put up a couple pics and go off to bed. will update again soon, possibly!

Today, I decided to tell my mom about my choice to wait to have sex until after marriage. Coming from a very christian family I thought she would be proud. Instead she laughed and said, "is that your excuse for not being able to get laid?" and walked out of the room. FML

Today, I called a priest "lame". He responded jokingly with "God will smite you!". I laughed and walked out the door. I tripped and broke my ankle. FML

Today, I got a text message. My phone was sitting on the edge of the bed and set on vibrate, so it fell off. I reached down to grab my phone and fell off the bed. My macbook landed on top of me. I fractured my arm and broke my laptop to read a text from facebook. FML

Today, I was walking to school and decided to be a good citizen by picking up a beer can on the sidewalk. I then walked on to my school's campus where I then got suspended by my dean for "trying to rebel", grounded by my parents for getting suspended, and an MIP from the school's police guard. FML

Today, I went on a run with this cute guy I know. I was sweating untractively and profusely so I decided to discretly grab a leaf from a tree and wipe my face with it. A bird had done the same with his ass few minutes ago. FML

lol okay. i feel bad. i skipped econs yesterday morning cos i was feeling queasy. and i didn't go for econs tutorial today & eng lecture cos im a tad hungover and felt disgusting this morning. (doesn't help that danny keeps blasting his techno music upstairs again. meh. i had to grab my earmuffs this morning and go back to bed lol) okay i actually got sick last night. i don't understand why- i drank less than usual. and i felt finee. didn't do anything embarrassing or anything. but i jsut felt like crap last night/this morning. didn't actually fall asleep til i could see the sun rising through the curtains. aughh.

but on a less disgusting note! i went for bollywood night LOL they played like a mix of r&b/hiphop and bhangra/bollywood movie music. it was actually super fun. although the place was fuuuull of creeper guys lol but w/e. supposed to go out tonight but i don't think i really want to. i'll try to save energy for tmrw (valentine's day- HATRED.) when we go out and (bitterly) celebrate our singleness. lol

i'm giving myself 6 minutes to procrastinate before i really have to go and do my work so this's gonna be a short one lol

i have an econs essay due in about 3 weeks and i have no idea what topic to do it on. they gave us a list but they all look... iffy. so i chose this thing on Friedman's Rule on the optimal rate of inflation (??right) i literally don't know anything about it so im jsut going to do a lot of reading and regurgitate info. haha yey that's my plan.
